Summer Camp Instructor (STEAM, Arts, Sports & More)

Location: Multiple Bay Area Locations (San Jose, Fremont, Oakland, Pleasant Hill, Castro Valley, El Cerrito, San Jose, Pleasanton)
Schedule: Seasonal | June–August

Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Summer Camp Instructors to lead engaging, hands-on programs for students this summer. Our camps are designed to foster creativity, confidence, and a love for learning in a fun and supportive environment.

Programs Include:
Culinary
Visual Arts
Music
Robotics
Coding
STEAM
Dance
Sports (e.g., Soccer)

Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate structured camp activities for K–8 students
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Guide students through hands-on projects and activities
Manage classroom behavior and ensure student engagement
Assist with setup, cleanup, and materials organization

Qualifications:
Experience working with children (teaching, camps, tutoring, etc.)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Passion for at least one of the program areas listed
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Ability to adapt and work collaboratively with a team

LEAD CULINARY INSTRUCTOR

Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking a Lead Culinary Instructor who can turn kitchen basics into hands-on adventures. This role is all about guiding young learners through simple recipes, helping them build confidence, and creating a classroom atmosphere that feels welcoming, fun, and just a little bit magical.

You will lead engaging, hands-on cooking lessons that teach essential skills such as measuring, mixing, and kitchen safety. This includes breaking down recipes into easy-to-follow steps and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom. We provide all materials, including cooking supplies, appliances, ingredients, and a structured curriculum with lesson plans. You’ll foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and confidence among students of all skill levels, while recording attendance and communicating any updates or needs to the program team.

Pay: $35 to $40 per Session

LEAD SOCCER INSTRUCTOR

Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking a Soccer Instructor who can turn foundational skills into high-energy, skill-building sessions. This role is all about guiding young athletes through drills and gameplay, helping them build confidence, teamwork, and coordination, while creating a positive and supportive environment that feels welcoming, fun, and motivating.

You will lead engaging, hands-on soccer sessions that teach essential skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This includes organizing structured drills, small-sided games, and scrimmages while maintaining a safe and well-managed practice environment. We provide all necessary equipment and a structured curriculum with lesson plans. You’ll foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, effort, and confidence among players of all skill levels, while recording attendance and communicating any updates or needs to the program team.

Qualifications:
Experience playing or coaching soccer.
Background working with kids in a school, camp, or enrichment setting.
Knowledge of fundamental soccer techniques and basic safety practices.
Strong communication skills and an energetic, positive presence.
Reliable, organized, and enthusiastic about youth development and active learning.

Chess Instructor

We are seeking an enthusiastic Chess Instructor to lead a beginner after-school chess class for Grades 1–5 this January. The program meets once a week for 1 hour (Tuesdays, 2:45–3:45 PM) and focuses on teaching chess fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, building critical-thinking skills, and creating an engaging after-school experience. Pay ranges from $30–$35 per hour, based on experience.
