Bob’s educational resume ranges from teaching 4th to 12th grade to serving as founding head of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Middle School. He first taught at Alhambra High School, and then for many years at the Prospect Sierra School in El Cerrito and the Urban School of San Francisco. He founded BATTI in 2002 with a pioneer group of 18 aspiring teachers. He lives in Oakland with his wife Elizabeth. His two sons are married and live and work in San Francisco.
Soheyl has worked in the field of education for over two decades including as adjunct instructor in Elementary Education at SFSU for over 10 years. He began his work with BATTI in 2007 as a field supervisor and then instructor. In 2014 he was appointed as Dean of Students. Soheyl is firmly committed to building a community of teachers that will serve in independent and public schools in the Bay Area and beyond.
Raleigh Zwerin has worked in the educational field for more than 20 years including in K - 5th classrooms at Town School for Boys, Bayview Terrace Elementary School, and the Turtle Rock Institute. For the past nine years, Raleigh has worked at BATTI as a supervisor, Clear Credential mentor and university instructor. She currently serves as Assistant Director, specializing in public and summer school placements for BATTI residents and the coordination of supervisors and instructors.
Ana is a BATTI lifer and has worked in education for nearly a decade and a half, starting out her teaching career in BATTI Cohort 4! Ana taught a range of grades around the Bay Area, including Bentley School and Trinity School. Ana has served as a BATTI mentor, supervisor, instructor, and now supports BATTI through a range of special projects, including supporting BATTI alum with our new induction program partnership.
