Teaching Fellowship & Program Coordinator

Words in the Wild • Oakland/San Francisco

Words in the Wild is searching for a dual role with responsibilities for teaching and coordination/administration: Teaching Fellows deepen their expertise in high-quality literacy instruction for emergent readers and writers (grades K-8 TBD) through both professional development and hands-on experience. Specifically, fellows plan and deliver instruction focused on complex learners including children with dyslexia. The Program Coordinator coordinates pull-out intervention across multiple sites, including scheduling and tracking service minutes, managing curriculum and supplies, and preventing and solving problems. The Coordinator is responsible for communication among school administrators, school teachers, and WitW staff.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to carol@wordsinthewild.org. ALL APPLICANTS MUST ALSO fill out the Teaching Fellow application that can be found on the website: www.wordsinthewild.org/teaching-fellows.
