Synapse School has a full-time opening for an exceptional Lower School 3rd & 4th Grade Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must be excited to collaborate with colleagues to create curriculum and communicate with families, be flexible in order to meet the needs of the school community, and be committed to equitable student success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, SEL instruction, explicit literacy and math instruction, as well as project- and problem-based curriculum development, collaborative teacher meetings, evening and weekend events, and supervisory duties.

Lower School Literacy Specialist

Synapse School seeks an experienced elementary Literacy Specialist for a full-time position to address the needs of students with or at risk for Specific Learning Disorders in reading and writing. The ideal candidate has expertise in SLD prevention and intervention, along with a positive disposition, a growth mindset, and a collaborative spirit. Candidates must be excited to collaborate with colleagues and families to serve students with SLDs, be flexible to meet the school community's needs, and be committed to equitable student success. The Literacy Specialists serve students directly in intervention sessions, through collaboration with teachers, and in partnership with families. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, explicit literacy instruction, integration of SEL practices and evidence-informed teaching, collaborating with teachers to develop accessible curriculum, evening and weekend events, and supervisory duties.
