The first step to changing the future starts here.

For priority acceptance, send all materials by February 8, 2019.

After February 8 we will accept applications if space is available in our cohort until the final deadline on April 15, 2019.

You will be notified of your final admissions status by the university by June 15, 2019. All students begin teaching and credential classes in late August. There are no mid-year starts.

BATTI Selection Process

Your journey begins with us. Our office will determine your suitability for our cohort group and residency jobs and will evaluate your educational eligibility.

  1. Personal Statement via PDF to application@ba-tti.org

  2. Résumé via PDF to application@ba-tti.org

  3. Official Transcript from each college you have attended, signed and sealed to:
    1624 Franklin Avenue, Suite 1005
    Oakland, CA 94612.

    If available, the applicant can request the institution send an official electronic copy via email directly to application@ba-tti.org

  4. Three Recommendation Letters via PDFs from recommender to application@ba-tti.org


STEP 3
Make Payment

Pay $29 application fee, via check or money order to BATTI, or via PayPal to info@ba-tti.org.


Following the initial selection process, you will be invited to a one-hour group interview.

UOP Graduate Admissions

Following your interview, we will notify you to begin your application process with the University of The Pacific Graduate Admissions.


STEP 1:
Complete ONLINE application

  1. Create a UOP Graduate Division account on GradCAS

  2. Complete Graduate Division Application Form (BATTI will notify applicants via email when this selection becomes available on GradCAS)

  3. Upload Personal Statement

  4. Upload Résumé


STEP 2: 
Submit Supporting DocumentS

  1. Three Recommendation Letters - provide the email addresses of 3 recommenders who will be contacted by UOP and asked to upload their recommendation.

  2. Official Transcript from each college you have attended, signed and sealed to:
    University of the Pacific, Office of Graduate Admission
    3601 Pacific Ave.
    Stockton, CA 95211

    You must have completed your Bachelor’s degree by June 2019. If available, the applicant can request the institution send an official electronic copy via email directly to gradadmission@pacific.edu.


Step 3:
MAKE PAYMENT

Pay $26 application fee to UOP


Complete Final Requirements


STEP 1:
Find a Position

Find an assistant teacher position at one of the coalition schools or another compatible school.


STEP 2:
Fulfill STate basic skills requirements 

  1. Pass the CBEST or CSET Multiple Subjects subtests AND CSET Writing Skills test.

  2. Meet minimum scores on SAT, ACT, or specific AP coursework.

In addition, BATTI requires that you take and pass one subtest of the three part CSET Multiple Subjects subject matter content test no later than August, 2019. All three subtests must be taken and passed no later than April, 2020. Exam information is available at: www.ctcexams.nesinc.com

Following CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) guidelines, UOP requires paper copies of scoresheets – they will not accept electronic scores.

 


Step 3:
SUBMIT FINAL Forms

  1. Submit negative TB test results less than 4 years old

  2. Submit a completed UOP Live scan form

  3. Submit a CTC issued Certificate of Clearance
