Fees
Tuition for the school year 2008-2009 will be
$2,850 per semester. The total cost for the
five-semester program will be approximately $13,250,
depending on possible fee increases for the second year.
BATTI Application Fee
There is a one time application fee of $55 for our program.
Be sure to enclose your check for $55, made payable to the
Bay Area Teacher Training Institute, in your completed
application packet.
Financial Assistance Resources
The Bay Area Teacher Training Institute recognizes that
making the decision to pursue a Multiple Subject Credential
is an important commitment of time, energy, and finances.
We outline below the most common Financial Assistance
Resources available to BATTI Cohort interns. There may be
other resources available to you as well.
San Francisco State University Financial Aid
Office
The Financial Aid office at San
Francisco State University offers a variety of
grants, scholarships, and educational loans to
eligible candidates. In order to determine eligibility
for Financial Aid, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) must be completed and filed with the
federal processor for FAFSA. You can file a FAFSA over
the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov instead of using the
paper form. After the Financial Aid Office at SFSU has
received and reviewed your eligibility data from your
FAFSA, a Financial Aid Offer Letter will be mailed to
you detailing the types and amounts of Financial Aid
dollars available to you.
Note: Because BATTI is part of the SFSU's Extension
Program, our students are not eligible for CAL-T grants.
However, the most common grant available is the Federal Pell Grant. Loans are also
available. Students have also received aid after their
service in the Americorps program.
